About this tour

Bahrain Fort (Qal'at al-Bahrain), the flagship archaeological site of the 4,000-year-old Dilmun civilization, is the setting for this late-afternoon tour. Your driver-guide takes you on a guided walk through the 16th-century Portuguese and ancient Dilmun layers of the fort, with historical narration along the way and scenic coastal photography from the ramparts. Then comes the Arabian sunset: a 30-minute horse riding experience with a sunset view towards the beach and inside the fort grounds, led by experienced handlers. Door-to-door transfers in an air-conditioned vehicle are included.

Good to know

  • Riders should wear long trousers and closed shoes; helmets are provided by the stable

  • Pickup from the airport or from areas more than 10 km outside Manama centre is charged extra; no pickup from the port
